OUR COMMITMENT

The Suryoyo Youth Gathering (SYG USA) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure our community members can register for the gathering with ease.

CONFORMANCE STATUS

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

The SYG USA website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content (specifically third-party integrations) may not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

MEASURES TAKEN

We have taken the following measures to ensure the accessibility of the SYG USA website:

  • Wix Accessibility Wizard: We regularly scan the site using the built-in accessibility tools in Wix Studio to identify and fix barriers.

  • Screen Reader Optimization: We have defined clear heading structures and page hierarchies to assist screen reader users.

  • Visual Accessibility: We have verified that color contrast ratios meet the required standards and that the site supports text resizing.

  • Image Descriptions: We have added textual alternatives (Alt Text) to all meaningful images and non-text content.

  • Navigation: We have ensured the site includes descriptive page titles and is navigable via keyboard.

THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

Our website uses third-party services to enhance the user experience, including Google Maps (for location directions) and Instagram (for social media feeds). We cannot control the accessibility standards of these external tools, and they may present challenges for some users.
